Easily learn to use Wordpad’s interface
Recording, as with any sound recorder is a matter of clicking New and Record. You can drag and drop existing files onto the WavePad audio editor’s comprehensive interface or access them via the Open tab or shortcut command.
Menu bar tabs are Home where you’ll find most of the features you require, Edit, Effects, Tools, Suite which takes you to other NCH recording software, and Custom Tabs where you can create links to the tools you use most. You’ll find everything you need under the Home tab to begin with.
Your open files are displayed beneath this and at the bottom you’ll find the play controls, file and action information, play clock and volume level meter.
An open file is displayed as a waveform and you select an area to edit and zoom into using your mouse buttons or the tools available on the Home tab menu. A right-click context menu is also available. The popup tool/effect windows are easy to use when you’re ready to embellish the clip.
Using the Save tab, you can save your newly edited files to your computer or optical drive, or you can email files as attachments or upload them to your website or to the cloud.
Wordpad is a powerful, yet easy to learn audio editor that is compatible with Windows 7 and up. The developer provides a number of video tutorials on its website and there is a comprehensive manual available within the application.
